Four Tips for Buying a Quality New Car
First search for recalls for that model. The internet is a good resource for this. One good organization is called the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Their website is reliable for discovering any recalls for the model you are thinking of buying.
Secondly find out about maintenance history for that model. Go to the Center for Auto Safety for one way to discover your car model''s maintenance history. Even if that model has not had any recalls, it might be a model that has a bad repair record. That would influence your decision. Also check automobile magazines, newspaper articles and website reviews for information about that model.
Thirdly go to your own car mechanic and inqu ire about this model. You are a customer, and they should be willing to share this information with you. Does your mechanic see a pattern in the repairs for the model you''re thinking of buying?
Fourthly leave your name and phone number with your mechanic and ask them to give your name and phone number to an owner of the model which you would like to buy. It is important to talk directly to owners of the car model to see if they are satisfied. Be sure to ask a current owner if the car is expensive to maintain or if it''s about average.
If you follow these four principles you are unlikely to get stuck with a lemon. if you do get stuck with a lemon car, be sure to use the Arizona Lemon Law.

Do Car Warranties Save You Money?
One thing is for sure; every auto mobile sooner or later will need a repair, whether it''s a few months after you''ve purchased it or long after the manufacture warranty expires it can be catastrophic to your monthly budget. A survey conducted by Bankrate.com in 2006 before the economy began to collaps e, said that too many American''s were ill prepared should a financial emergency were to arise, it went on to say that "Too many people are living paycheck to paycheck, or they''re people who don''t manage their money well. And there are a lot of people who just don''t know any better."
The ability to handle a sudden financial emergency such as an unexpected major automobile break down, one would be expected to have at least three months living expenses available. Ideally six months would be better.
Where the problem lies with any major mechanical break down is the repair costs. Should your air-conditioning unit fail you could be looking at potentially a $1,200.00 repair. Have the automatic transmission fail and you''re looking at close to $3,000.00, driver train another $1,900.00 repair. Too many people do not have enough money set a side for an unexpected auto repair, such as the ones I just stated causing further distress to their financial situation. No one likes to worry about which bill they should skip in order to help them pay for this unexpected repair. It''s feasible to assume that by not being able to afford a costly repair, you''re suddenly thinking about not making that auto loan payment now. I mean, who really wants to pay for an auto that is no longer running?
This type of situation can be totally avoided with purchasing an extended auto warranty. The advantages over buying a warranty and what you''ll save should you need a major repair seem to out way the cost of the warranty. The peace of mind, knowing that if your automobile does break down and you won''t go broke, have to pawn your possessions, or even take out a short term high rate loan from a payday loan source to have your auto repaired.
No one can predict the future, but one thing is certain, automobile mechanical break downs are expensive and the cost of repairs is only going to increase.

Warranties
Automobile warranties are a great investment to make. We all know that sometimes our automobiles can break down at any time. Automobile repairs can be very serious and can require hundreds, or even thousands of dollars to pay for them. In today''s economy many Americans cannot afford to make the necessary car repairs for their automobiles because of the immense repair costs.
Getting a warranty on your automobile can protect you from having to pay most, or if not all of your necessary automobile repair costs. You can obtain an automobile warranty through your automobile''s manufacturer, or you can ask your local car dealership about warranties. Most new automobiles come with some type of automobile warranty called a factory warranty, but you can always purchase an extended warranty when your current automobile warranty expires.
There are two different types of warranties for automobiles; the power train automobile warranty and the bumper to bumper warranty. Th e bumper to bumper automobile warranty covers most of the car''s parts except those that need repair due to constant use and wear such as tires, wind shield wipers, brakes, brake pads etc. This can be a good warranty to have because it covers the most expensive repairs that might arise. The downside is that you still have to pay for the repairs that are caused by wear, but it is still a good warranty to have because it protects you from larger problems.
The power train automobile warranty covers all the moving parts of the automobile such as the engine and transmission. This is a great type of warranty because a transmission can cost over $3,000 to repair and if your engine goes as well, it is just as expensive, if not more expensive than replacing a faulty engine.
The bad thing about purchasing a new automobile, is that even if the car cannot work mechanically, you will still need to make the monthly payments that you agreed to when purchasing the vehicle. If you purchase a warranty or an extended warranty on your automobile then you are protecting your investment. You don''t want to have to make monthly payments on an automobile that is parked in your front yard because you cannot pay for the necessary car repairs on top of your monthly car payments. When you go to buy your next automobile, consider purchasing a warranty if your automobile does not come with one. You will be grateful when you need a car repair and your coverage takes care of the expenses. Any warranty pays for itself in the long run.

Lemon Law Help
The Motor Vehicle Lemon Law is a strong legislation that offers protection to customers buying non standard or defective vehicles from their respective manufacturers. The term ''lemon'' refers to a brand new car or a vehicle that has been leased and doe s not perform according to its promises.
In other terms the Motor Vehicle Lemon Law is enforced on vehicles that come out with faults within their warranty period. The lemon laws also specify the types of cars and their warranty details as and when they are covered. Even used, cars, motorcycles, trucks SUVs, Jet Skis and other types of vehicles come under this law.
Some auto lemon laws cover new and used vehicles as well as other kinds of motor vehicles. However, some of the similarities between these auto laws clearly come out and they include the following. Most of them cover new and leased vehicles and if you do a search to compare them, you will find that the two categories of vehicles feature in almost all the laws. The other thing is that they all seem to define a lemon in a similar way. A lemon is a defective vehicle that has served for a very short time. Many laws state that a lemon is declared to be so when it finds itself at the repair shop more that 3 times. Also it is a lemon if it has not served the owner for 30 consecutive days. A lemon should be taken to the repair shop immediately and you should keep all the documents safely because this is the proof that there was a repair attempt.
Your vehicle manual should state the warranties provided for your lemon. It should also mention how you should contact your vehicle manufacturer and whether your lemon will be replaced or repaired according to the laws. There should be indications in your warranty card about the number of times your vehicle has shown faults and number of attempts made to repair your vehicle. It should also mention the type of fault that was seen in your lemon.
The lemon law is undoubtedly very protective to the consumers than the manufacturers. A manufacturer who has been bounded by this law should not only repair the vehicle back to its original consistency but he should also bear up with extra charges levied like insurance, taxes and others. In some cas es where there has been a dispute regarding this law, a neutral party comes into play who helps the manufacturer and consumer come up with a feasible solution.
There are some cases where the motor vehicle lemon law may fail in gaining its sole objective. Thus the consumer may be harassed and may have to proceed with the case by filing a civil suit and he may try to recover all the inherent costs that had been undertaken by him during that process. A good lawyer may also be allowed to take up these responsibilities. As it always happens, the court will take a long time to settle such disputes and if you are the real sufferer you can expect to get the case in favor of yourself.
If the car dealers fail to do this, there are arbitration programs provided for you by the auto lemon law. The one sponsored by manufacturers is worth trying out. A neutral mediator will seek to strike a deal between the two parties. This arbitration programs work and many cases do not proceed fro m here because the case is settled informally under the law. However, the cases that are not settled will proceed and the highest level is the court of appeal. When the lemon car owner hires the right lawyer and has a strong case, there is no doubt that the auto lemon law will work in their favor.
